We pride ourselves on being able to source our produce from some of the most reputable suppliers in the country. From our finest quality meat reared for us at John Penny & Sons in Leeds, our fresh poultry which we source from Gradons in Halifax to all the ingredients for our pies and pasties which comes from Dalziels in Glasshoughton, everything is bought based on quality and provenance.
John Penny & Sons
Leeds-based John Penny take great pride in nurturing and managing their livestock to ensure it is presented to customers in prime condition. They know that the best way to produce superior meat is to ensure that their animals have a happy, natural and stress-free life.
All John Penny stock is raised using traditional techniques and natural feeds. During the spring and summer, their cattle and sheep enjoy grazing on over 250 acres of Yorkshire farmland but in winter the animals are moved indoors to reduce their exposure to the worst of the elements.
All produce supplied by John Penny is fully traceable by individual animal and by day of processing giving customers complete confidence regarding the source of their meat.
Gradons Poultry
Based in Halifax, Gradons have been a respected poultry suppliers to the butchery industry for over 50 years. Specialising in free range and barn reared poultry, Gradons supply the highest standard of produce across the country with anything not reared on their farm sourced from other quality English farms.
Dalziels Ingredients
Dalziel ingredients are one of the most well known and trustworthy suppliers within the butchery industry. With 12 sites across England, Scotland and Wales they have been supplying butchers with ingredients and produce for over 50 years. They work with some of the best ingredients suppliers across the world like Verstegen and Lucas to provide butchers with the highest quality sauces, marinades, bakery ingredients and much more.
Boulbys Bakery
Boulbys bakehouse in Horbury supply us with fresh bread baked daily. They have over 100 years collective baking experience and bake all their produce in the traditional way and then deliver daily to ensure freshness and quality.
